Mary is a knowledgeable and caring trainer. We adopted a GSD and knew he had a few issues, but didn't realize how many, and how much anxiety he had. (Constant barking, overly excited, fear of doors, fear of wood, tile, vinyl floors, he didn't know how to use stairs, stressed in a vehicle, just to name a few). Immediately after the first session we saw improvement and he is responding well to her approach. Mary explains why we're doing something and what the expected outcome will be. Mary understands how to work with his issues and he's making great progress. We couldn't be happier with her services and the positive reinforcement she's providing our new shepherd.
I was referred to Mary by the rescue organization that we got our 1 1/2 year old, 45 lb. dog from (probably German Shephard mix, but maybe a Norwegian Buhund) . We were especially having problems with our dog nipping and with him pulling hard while walking him on leash. I had tried three different front-hook harnesses and nothing seemed to work, and even a class training course at Petco. After just three appointments with Mary over the course of three weeks, we are very happy to report that there are MAJOR improvements in our dog's behavior. The nipping has gone down to very infrequent, and he is also walking much, much better on leash. We also had some more minor problems with destructive behaviors, like destroying pillows, and he is much less destructive now. Mary has really worked wonders for us!
Thanks for checking in! Toby and I are doing well and all of the training and advice really helped up a lot! I will let you know if we need more training in the future. Cannot thank you enough!
